COVID-19 has definitely had an immense impact on our industry and looks set to continue for some time to come. With hundreds of cancelled events, active wine importers and wine producers have to work out a way to make contact, taste wines and get down to discussing business. Enter Wine Pleasures B2B Workshop Online.

Following our series of webinars in June and July (Spanish WINE Week, Italian WINE Week and Sparkling WINE Week) we have now developed a new programme which provides on demand meetings with producers from both the New and the Old World:

How does it work?

Wine Pleasures B2B Workshop Global is a 3 day online event for Nwe and Old World wine producers to meet with wine importers, distributors and the on and off trade looking to source new wines. The programme consists of an online B2B meetings meeting tool “My Wine Pleasures” which enables you to schedule meetings with wine producers actively looking to export their wines. With the absence of In person trade events the Wine Pleasures B2B Workshop puts you quickly in contact with wine producers with current interest in export.

Programme

The event is run over 3 days. Each day targets different global markets as follows:

Day 1 Monday 28 September – Asia and Australasia

Day 2 Monday 5 October – The Americas (Canada, USA, Central & South America)

Day 3 Tuesday 6 October – Europe

A maximum of 30 wine producers participate on each day of the event. Only 2 wine producers are allowed from the same region/Appelation/DO.

A maximum of 30 wine importers from each market are carefully selected to attend as buyers.

Timetable

  • Friday 18 September – The online meeting agenda “My Wine Pleasures” opens allowing you to update your profile ready for producers to view
  • Monday 21 September – Webinar: Event briefing, event platform “My Wine Pleasures” demonstration and Q/A
  • Tuesday 22 September – The online diary “My Wine Pleasures” opens allowing producers to request meetings with buyers.
  • On the day – attend your 8 meetings through the platform My Wine Pleasures as per schedule.

Registation procedure

Buyers interested in attending one of the 3 meeting days according to where they are located in the world should complete the application form below. If your application is approved you will be sent a confirmation email to this effect.

    1. GENERAL By completing and submitting the Buyer Application form, the Buyer understands that their registration must be confirmed, in writing by Wine Events Worldwide, before participation is allowed. 2. PARTICIPATION The Buyer understands that they are required to accept 8 appointments. The buyer agrees to have secured the maximum 8 appointments prior to the event taking place. 3. CONCLUDING PROVISION Should a Buyer fail to schedule 8 meetings in advance of the event then Wine Events Worldwide will proceed to cancel the buyer's participation by removing the company profile from the online meeting scheduling programme.
