About Dosterras & terroir:

One characteristic of Montsant is that we have different types of terroir in our vineyards that permit us to give complexity and character to our wines. So, we have:

  • Sandy soils: usually permit a faster maturity. We get aromatic wines with some light tannins (less structure in mouth).
  • Clay soils: More capacity to retain water and nutrients. Here we get the elegance, structure of the wines because the maturity circle is longer.
  • Granitic soils: Here we get mineral aromas, light salty touches and a good acidity.
  • Slate soils: Poor soils; few organic material
  • Limestone soils: Here we get wines with a good alcoholic degree; low acidity and very good quality.

We produce: Conventional wines
