About Palazzo Vecchio & terroir:

Palazzo Vecchio is a small winery between Montepulciano and Cortona, a family business that has its roots and passions in wine. Perched on a hill, surrounded by vineyards, Palazzo Vecchio offers a 360 ° view of the Valdichiana and spectacular sunsets. The position and the environmental situation are unique, not only for the location of its vineyards, at different altimeters, or for the recognized quality of the soil, particularly suited to viticulture, but also for its favorable climatic conditions … due to the proximity of the Lake Trasimeno and the gentle Mediterranean breezes that caress the grapes keeping them perfectly healthy. But the quality of the Palazzo Vecchio wines was born in the vineyards … the processes are done with modern techniques but with fertilizers and natural treatments that allow to maintain the right balance between the vineyards and the environment that surround them. Pruning and hand-made harvests are part of choices aimed at obtaining the best quality of the wines that periodically combine with the constant technological improvement of the cellar and the systematic recycling of the barrels … characteristics that often make the difference.
