WINE PLEASURES WORKSHOP: BUYER MEETS OLD WORLD CELLAR 10 – 12 de November 2009
The event
Over the years wineries have expressed high interest in meeting asian buyers within the context of the Wine Pleasures Workshop. Likewise asian buyers have also been keen to attend and participate in past editions of the Wine Pleasures Worksops but due to distance and time many have not been able to make the journey and have therefore suggested that Wine Pleasures should consider organising a workshop mainly for Asian buyers and in an asian country.
Taking into consideration needs of both wineries and cellars, Wine Pleasures has organised a workshop for Old World cellars to meet mainly asian buyers in the city of Shanghai China.
Venue
The 1st edition of the Wine Pleasures Workshop Buyer meets Old World Cellar will take place in the Royalton Hotel Shanghai,China. This hotel affords a perfect setting for the Wine Pleasures Workshop event. The Royalton Hotel is located in the heart of the west district of Shanghai, close to business and retail centers and just five minutes walk to three metro lines and only 5 stops to the Bund. 1) Leading up to the workshop
Invited Buyers are supplied with details and profiles of participating wineries. This gives the buyer ample time to correspond with the winery directly and to evaluate if the wines would be of potential interest to the buyer’s target market. Buyers should pre-schedule a minimum of 12 appointments prior to the workshop taking place.
2) During the workshop
On both mornings of the event, additional appointments may be scheduled through personal contacts between buyers and wineries.
Further contacts between buyers and wineries are also possible during lunch and breaks as well as in the evening.
