Buyer Meets Iberian Cellar

BUYER MEETS IBERIAN CELLAR
10 – 12 February 2010

The Event

Wine trade fair Spain

Buyers from Bulgaria, EEUU y El Salvador Workshop 09

Over the past 5 years Wine Pleasures has been organising a successful workshop event format for small to medium sized Spanish boutique wineries to meet small to medium sized wine importers in a one-stop cost effective venue for both parties. Over this time, buyers have frequently suggested that Portuguese wineries should be able to participate in the workshop event. Portuguese wineries too have also expressed great interest in participating. Given this situation Wine Pleasures has now created a new workshop format to include wines from both countries: Buyer meets IBERIAN Cellar.

Why Participate?

The Wine Pleasures Workshop provides the perfect business environment for small to medium sized boutique wineries to present their wines to wine buying decision makers during the workshop and in addition also gives wineries year-round promotional benefits.  As part of the workshop package wineries, once enrolled will gain access to all particpating buyers  which means both wineries and buyers are able to communicate prior to the event and begin to set appointments. This unique feature  enables both parties to maximise thier time together in the face to face meetings.

Benefits

  • Generate new leads prior to the event.  All wineries will receive buyer profiles and a schedule of one-to-one meetings.  Wineries are able to contact any Hosted Buyers who have expressed an interest in meeting them, in order to set up  appointments.
  • Complete your schedule of meetings by participating in the Themed wine tasting on Day 1 of the event. All wineries can include up to 4 references in the wine tasting. The purpose of the wine tasting is for both buyer and celler to complete and therefore fill their schedule of appointments.
  • Gain added exposure by participating and including your wines during lunches and dinners. Dining with the buyers in an informal setting and trying your wines with the meals provided is an excellent way of reinforcing the effectiveness of your busniness meetings.
  • Increae your brand awareness by placing your banner in the corridor leading to the Workshop entrance.
  • Particpate in the seminars. This year we are focussing on the Internet 2.0 and the Social Media.

The Workshop Methodology

Wine trade fair Portugal

One to one meetings

Each participating winery will have exclusive use of a meeting table where the scheduled appointments with buyers take place. The tried and tested appointment system offers wineries direct and total control over the types of buyers – country, cliente profiles, price range and so on  – they arrange to meet during the two days:

1) Leading up to the workshop

Wineries are supplied with details and profiles of participating buyers and vice versa. This gives the winery ample time to correspond with the buyer directly and to evaluate if the buyer’s markets would be of potential interest to the wineries target market. Buyers and wineries will mutually pre-schedule  appointments prior to the workshop taking place.

2) During the workshop

On both mornings of the event, additional appointments may be scheduled through personal contacts between buyers and wineries.

Further contacts between buyers and wineries are also possible during lunch and breaks as well as in the evening.

Important: Wineries registering an accompanying person from the same organisation are able to schedule parallel appointments simultaneously throughout the event, thereby doubling the effectiveness of their participation.
