Wine Importers are already starting to register for the new look Wine Pleasures Workshop Buyer meets IBERIAN Cellar which as the name implies means great wines from both Portugal and Spain. Buyers attending the 2010 workshop were pleased to see excellent price-quality and variety from the Portuguese producers who made the journey to Barcelona. Some even went on the suggest we incorporate nearby wineries from Sud de France and the Languedoc-Roussillon region. So for 2011 we will be extending the invitiation to those French producers in the mentioned wine producing regions so we may have to come up with a new name for the event.
Why Participate?
The Wine Pleasures Workshop provides the perfect business environment for small to medium sized boutique wineries to present their wines to wine buying decision makers during the workshop and in addition also gives wineries year-round promotional benefits. As part of the workshop package wineries, once enrolled will gain access to all particpating buyers which means both wineries and buyers are able to communicate prior to the event and begin to set appointments. This unique feature enables both parties to maximise thier time together in the face to face meetings.
Generate new leads prior to the event. All wineries will receive buyer profiles and a schedule of one-to-one meetings. Wineries are able to contact any Hosted Buyers who have expressed an interest in meeting them, in order to set up appointments.
Complete your schedule of meetings by participating in the Themed wine tasting on Day 1 of the event. All wineries can include up to 4 references in the wine tasting. The purpose of the wine tasting is for both buyer and celler to complete and therefore fill their schedule of appointments.
Gain added exposure by participating and including your wines during lunches and dinners. Dining with the buyers in an informal setting and trying your wines with the meals provided is an excellent way of reinforcing the effectiveness of your busniness meetings.
Increae your brand awareness by placing your banner in the corridor leading to the Workshop entrance.
Particpate in the seminars. This year we are focussing on the Internet 2.0 and the Social Media.

The Workshop Methodology
Wine Pleasures Workshops bring together boutique wine producers and carefully screened, high-quality wine importers and agents at workshop events around Europe devoted to achieving results and growing wine exports.
In contrast to large fairs and exhibitions, Wine Pleasures Workshops are closed to the general public, and take place in a private environment perfect for pre-scheduled one-to-one business meetings between producers and buyers selected for their quality and credentials. Wine Pleasures invites more buyers than producers to ensure that wineries can fill each available appointment slot with useful and relevant contacts. In addition to targeted appointments, lunches, refreshment breaks and evening receptions offer further valuable networking opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere.
Producers value Wine Pleasures workshops because they can meet a diverse range of wine importers from all over the world. They can increase their wine exports by meeting and appointing new importers, extending relationships with existing contacts, obtaining market intelligence and feedback, and promoting their brand in the international wine marketplace.
Importers use Wine Pleasures Workshops to easily source new Iberian boutique wines not normally found in the large trade fairs and producers for their portfolios, and to strengthen established business relationships – at one event in one location. They appreciate how Wine Pleasures Workshops cut down the amount of time and travel required to manage their business relationships.
Wine Pleasures Workshops are renowned for their organisation and sophistication – and most importantly, for the quality of producer /importer relationships they facilitate.
