perlageLast September on a scouting visit in Veneto to find a suitable hotel for the 1st edition of the Wine Pleasures Workshop: Buyer meets Italian Cellar, I was fortunate to have a complete tour of the Perlage vineyards and winery. I have to confess it’s a remarkable grape growing region and the Perlage wines are simply ones to consider for any buyers wine portfolio. My particular favourates were the Pinot Grigio and the no sulphite spumante or was it a Prosecco?

If you are travelling to Spain around mid March do join the workshop and try their range of wines:perlage-2

Perlage in located area of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, heart of the Prosecco and it\’s the only organic and biodynamic winery of the territory, certified from 1985. Perlage is famous for its innovative products. In 2005 Perlage presented the first Prosecco from Biodynamic grapes, Col di Manza, 1 glass Gambero Rosso in 2008 and in year 2008 introduced the first and only Spumante No Sulphites, Animae, the company diamond. Perlage is strongly liked to the territory, its philosophy, its wines and the people working around it.
